Do you feel that with time audiences will open up to a black Human Torch on screen much like they did an Asian Superman back in the 90s once FF is already out?
I think if Michael B. Jordan gives a good performance as the character, people will accept him by the end of the opening weekend. But if the movie sucks or the performance sucks, then they won’t. That’s pretty much the history of this situation throughout the many years that super hero films have been being made. It’s been rare that a casting announcement has been made and the fans have all gone “Wonderful!”
I honestly feel that the only people not excited for Michael B. Jordan’s Johnny Storm are the ones who haven’t seen his performance in the movie Chronicle.
